Glossary of Terms

blue balls – a strong yet dull pain in the pelvic region (usually focused in the testes) sometimes experienced after extended periods of sexual arousal without ejaculating

bukkake (porn) – a sexual practice/fetish (originating in Japan) where multiple men ejaculate onto the face of an individual woman

climax – the highly enjoyable yet short lived period of time of the human sexual response cycle, characterized by intense pleasurable feelings, strong orgasmic contractions, a general feeling of euphoria, and more often than not – ejaculation

come or cum – see ‘semen’ below

cumpilation (porn) – a collection of videos of cumshots, compiled into one single video

cumshot – the act of shooting semen, typically refers to a larger load of semen that is ejaculated some distance away from the erect penis (as opposed to dribbling out)

dry orgasm – any climax/orgasm without semen being ejaculated

edging – a sexual technique where you remain as close to orgasm as possible for an extended time, without actually letting yourself experience orgasm

ejaculate – refers to ‘semen‘ (see below), as well as the act of ejaculating semen out of your erect penis

kegel exercise – exercises designed to help control premature ejaculation, help you shoot your load farther, give you stronger orgasms, and possibly even experience dry orgasms and multiple climaxes

multiple orgasms (male) – the ability to have more than one climax without losing your erection and experiencing a ‘refractory period‘ (see below) after your initial orgasm

orgasm – see ‘climax‘ above

pre-cum – a clear slippery fluid produced in the bulbourethreal (or Cowper’s) gland, it is thought to provide lubrication for sexual activity as well as neutralizing any acidic effects of urine that may be remaining in the urethra

pubococcygeus – a hammock shaped muscle that runs from your pubic bone to your tailbone, it contracts and relaxes uncontrollably during a sexual climax and is partly responsible for the feel good sensations experienced during your orgasm

refractory period – the unfortunate period of time (usually 30mins or more) after ejaculating that a man uncontrollably loses his erection and will be unable to regain full erection and/or orgasm during this time

ropes (or the ropes) – the long, individual rope-like strands of semen that a man ejaculates during a big load, each spurt being a new ‘rope’ of semen

semen – the whitish fluid ejaculated from a man’s during an orgasm, comprised of sperm cells, prostatic fluid, and fluid from the seminal vessicles

seminal fluid – see ‘semen‘ above

sperm – the individual cells produced in the testicles that resemble tadpoles and are responsible for carrying the genetic material from a male to a female’s egg in order for a baby to be made
